Marking a Quarter Century of Culinary Memories
On Saturday, May 24, we had the joy of celebrating a remarkable milestone—25 years of Biff’s Bistro being a true Toronto staple for French dining. The evening kicked off in style with bubbles and freshly-shucked oysters, setting the tone for a night filled with warmth and celebration.
Our dining room soon came alive with laughter, stories, and incredible flavours as longtime friends, valued guests, and some of Toronto’s top culinary talent gathered for a night to remember.
A big thank you to Toronto Life and their insiders for joining us in the iconic Red Room to celebrate Biff’s rich legacy. It was a night that felt as thoughtful and heartfelt as it was delicious.
The evening was a true celebration of the chefs who have helped shape Biff’s kitchen and spirit over the years. Chef de Cuisine Trenton Pajuluoma, O&B Corporate Executive Chef Anthony Walsh, O&B District Executive Chef John Horne, and special guest Chef Amanda Ray—former Biff’s Chef de Cuisine and now making waves at The Drake Devonshire—came together to create a collaborative four-course menu. Each dish honoured Biff’s deep roots and was paired with exceptional wines, with the chefs sharing personal stories that made the meal feel even more special.
We were also thrilled to welcome back Biff’s alumni, reinforcing the strong sense of community and family that’s been at the heart of Biff’s all these years. Their presence added so much warmth and history to the evening.
As we raised our glasses, we honoured the vision of Peter Oliver and Michael Bonacini, whose dream turned Biff’s into a place where life’s special moments are savoured — from birthday toasts, to anniversaries, to those long, lingering lunches that never quite end.
Here’s to 25 years of French cuisine, friendship, and unforgettable memories — and to many more ahead.
